On Thursday, May 23, Donald Trump held a massive and historic rally in the South Bronx. The Bronx is considered the most blue region in the entire United States. In the last election, Biden received over 90% of the votes. I never would have imagined that a Republican could come not just to the Bronx, but to the South Bronx no less, and have any type of noteworthy turnout. Well, the turnout for Trump was astonishing! I grew up in the Bronx and have lived much of my life in the Bronx, and I cannot recall such a massive gathering for an individual coming to the Bronx.
There were people with red caps and red jackets as far as the eye could see. Even Trump's people were expecting maybe 3,500 people to show up. They were not expecting the 25,000 to 30,000 people who did show up. There was also a mile long line of people outside of the event who were hoping they might be able to get inside.
Some estimate the size of the crowd to be much smaller. Either way, everyone would agree that visually, the size of the crowd was stunning! The number of people who showed up, were far greater than even Trump's people envisioned.
There were also people who camped out the night before to attend Trump's rally. The same people and many others endured the rain during the thunderstorm that occurred early in the day. Who could imagine that there were people so hard-core about being able to see Donald Trump that they would put themselves through so much.
One observer pointed out that the majority of the people were from the Bronx and most of the rest were from different boroughs in New York City. This part of the Bronx is not easy to get to and there is very limited parking. The nearest train station is a bit of a hike away. This is very different from the situation at Yankee Stadium where there is plenty of parking and it's right next to a major train station.
When people in the crowd were asked about the issues they were most concerned with, consistently, they said the illegal migrant situation and how money that should be going to needy Americans was instead going to these illegal migrants. The other major issue that people raised was the economy. They all agreed that prices have skyrocketed under Biden.
Trump also took shots at Biden over the illegal migrant issue and the economy. He promised that he would launch a historic campaign to send the illegal migrants back to their home countries. Regarding the economy, he promised to bring back prosperity to New York and to America. These are two critical issues that neither Biden nor the Democratic Party can deny their role in creating these problems. These issues, among others, are likely to have a substantial impact on the upcoming elections.
Having been raised in the Bronx and Harlem and spent much my life in these boroughs, I can say from firsthand experience that most African-Americans and most Hispanic Americans have historically voted for Democrats out of pure reflex. Many of the older generations still remember the contributions of the Kennedy family and especially Pres. John F Kennedy, the uncle of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. They remember that it was President John F. Kennedy who sent national guard troops to defend African American students. His legacy contributed to the loyalty that many felt towards the Democratic Party.
Over recent years though, the Democratic Party has changed dramatically, which is why many people are fleeing the Democratic Party. Even Robert F. Kennedy Jr was forced to abandon the Democratic Party because of the censorship he was subjected to. He chose to establish his own independent party. In addition, the fact that President Trump could draw such a massive crowd in the Bronx, says a lot about the shifting sentiments among African American and Hispanic Americans towards the Democratic Party. They are no longer behaving like mindless robots automatically giving their support for a democratic president and the Democratic Party.
This situation creates an opportunity for Robert F Kennedy Jr's independent party. For the first time in a long time, traditional Democratic Party supporters are now willing to listen to new ideas. RFK Jr unfortunately has been subjected to massive censorship! He's been censored in mainstream media and in social media. He is even being denied an opportunity to participate in the upcoming CNN presidential debate in which only President Biden and President Trump will be able debate. This is despite the fact that polls show that 15% of the population supports RFK Jr which normally would qualify him to be part of such a debate. Petitions are currently circulating demanding that Robert F. Kennedy Jr be allowed to participate in the debate.
Censorship against RFK Jr is so bad that many people, including African Americans and Hispanic Americans, don't even know that he's running for president! As Robert Kennedy's campaign continues to reach out to people, more and more will understand that there is a third option and that he has solutions that they need to consider. They will also learn of his efforts and victories in helping African American people, Hispanic people and Americans in general. He has been a courageous warrior for the rights and safety of children. The more that people learn about who Robert F. Kennedy Jr really is and why he will be a great president, the more his numbers will soar. Now that people are breaking free from the shackles of the Democratic Party, it is a perfect time for Robert F. Kennedy to be heard.

Jani and Gemma:
Thank you for expressing your concern. Please keep in mind that I am not speaking on behalf of Mr. Kennedy or his campaign. I would ask that you consider this:
In an NBC article published on May 11, 2024, it was reported that Robert F. Kennedy Jr had revised his position on this issue. They quoted him as saying the following:
“Abortion has been a notoriously divisive issue in America, but actually I see an emerging consensus — abortion should be legal up until a certain number of weeks, and restricted thereafter,” he said.
“Once the baby is viable outside the womb, it should have rights and it deserves society’s protection,” he added.

I would like to also add that none of the candidates for president and none of the politicians running for any office, has done more to protect the health and rights of babies and children than Robert F. Kennedy Jr. His organization: Children's Health Defense has been filing lawsuits, sharing comprehensive scientific information with parents and a multitude of other activities to protect babies and children.
Kennedy’s candidacy is good for our country. People are hearing his message. I am sending to all my lifelong Dem friends. I am a Republican, but I respect RFK Jr. He should be allowed to debate, have secret service and be on every ballot.
